A few months ago I had received one too many catalogs and started to do something about it. Unfortunately, all I knew to do was to contact the individual companies and ask them to take me off of their mailing list.
And it actually worked..or so I thought. Now that the holiday shopping season is in full swing, my mailbox is suddenly working overtime. How many Pottery Barn catalogs do I need?? And I thought I had removed my name from their mailing list!?!?
So today..as I was reading one of my favorite blogs..coolmompicks..sure enough, Liz was fed up as well! She is more resourceful than me and found this cool website to do the work for you! Catalog Choice, a brilliant idea!
Catalog Choice is a free service that lets you decline paper catalogs you no longer wish to receive. Catalog Choice is a sponsored project of the Ecology Center. It is endorsed by the National Wildlife Federation and the Natural Resources Defense Council, and funded by the Overbrook Foundation, the Merck Family Fund, and the Kendeda Fund.
I'm going to get started and so should you..lets do something nice for the environment this holiday season!
