Wishing Willow says nice things about queenbabybean.

Tara, the sweet person behind Wishing Willow and Polkadot Papoose, has said some very nice things about queenbabybean on her awesome new blog! Tara is the artist behind the beautiful baby slings you can find here as well as her site, Polkadot Papoose. I'm so glad we found Tara (or maybe she found us). Either way, I consider her a friend and a great find on the world wide web!

I'm not even going to pretend I can write half as well as the person behind this great new review blog, so I'll just shut up now and tell you to click over to Wishing Willow! Make a comment on the write-up of our site and be entered to win the extremely popular Musical Drum Set!

nieniedialogues

While catching up on one of my favorite blogs Tangled and True, I came across this. Stephanie and Christian Nielson, a young couple from Arizona, along with a flight instructor, Doug Kinneard were in a small plane crash in mid-August. Doug died the next day of his injuries. Stephanie has severe burns over 80% of her body. Both she and her husband are in induced comas, trying to recover from their wounds.

I don't know Stephanie and had not come across her blog - nieniedialogues - until a few days ago. Now I visit there daily, along with her sister's blog - cjanerun. Stephanie and Christian have 4 young children, who are now being taken care of by Stephanie's family.

The blogging community has embraced this family, raising over $100k for the medical bills that may reach into the millions. Since queenbabybean is a little late on the scene, we hope to participate in the next round of auctions.

Reading Stephanie's blog makes me want to be a better person, a better wife and mother. Her positive outlook on life is inspiring. So do something good for your soul....read her blog!

Potty training rocks!

ok, not really, but we are trying to maintain a positive attitude. This is what we get though - the 1st was so easy, we were bound to pay down the road.

Good thing I've got the Boon Potty Bench this time around. Not only does my son like it, it looks cool enough to sit in my living room for months to come! It has storage on both sides and a pull out drawer for easy clean up. Close the lid and it's a storage bench that holds up to 300 lbs!

Use code 'BOON' at check-out for 10% off. Why should I be the only one having all the fun?

happy baby = happy home

A teething baby can be miserable for all involved so anything that makes baby a little less cranky gets high ratings from this mom!

We have got some great new (to us) products that are must-haves for any teething household.

Sophie the Giraffe

What can I say about Sophie? She makes me smile! This little giraffe was born in France in 1961 and has been soothing babies for generations. She also has a sweet squeak when you press her head or tummy! She is 100% natural rubber, derived from the sap of the Hevea Tree. Sophie is made the same way she was from the very beginning....why mess with a good thing?

Chan & Pie

If you like Sophie, then you won't be able to resist her little friends. Chan (blue) and Pie (pink) come from the same manufacturer as Sophie and have the same great qualities - phthalate-free natural rubber! These little guys are easy to grasp and come with a happy squeak, sure to soothe any teething baby!

Natursutten Teethers

And last but not least, the apple and fish teethers from Natursutten are a must-have for your little one! These teething rings are filled with purified sterilized water, free of any chemicals. The rings themselves are made from EVAtane (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), a material also used for medical products, free of BPA-A, phthalates and any chemical softeners. In other words, completely safe for baby to chew to his or her heart's content!

Something to do one rainy weekend.

As much rain as we got on the east coast last week, I should have taken my own advice and done this project with my kids. So here I am, blogging about it, hoping to remind myself...maybe next weekend...we definitely have the one main ingredient!
